Dive Koh Phi Phi - Viking Bay
Diving @ Koh Phi Phi's Viking Bay, you will find the two dive sites Table Coral City and Artificial Reef which are often combined to a single dive due to their close proximity.
The reef at Viking Bay runs to the north, connecting to Table Coral City, a sloping reef covered with hard corals, bubble corals, staghorn and branching corals, gorgonian sea fans, whip corals, fire corals, barrel sponges and anemones.
The reef slopes from the shallows down to around 30m, however most of the action is in the 5m - 15m range.

Schools of snapper, sweeper and fusiliers are often found here, along with cuttlefish, moray eels, pipefish, pufferfish, grouper, butterfly and angel fish, scorpion fish, yellow box fish, trumpet fish and the occasional hawksbill turtle.
Just around the corner, on the opposite side of Phi Phi Leh is the dive and snorkel site at Palong Bay.

Diving at Koh Phi Phi Viking bay, you will find large schools of crocodile needlefish patroling the shallows, with schools of giant trevallies, cobia and red snapper regularly hunting on the reef and cruising past the divers.
Dive Koh Phi Phi - Artificial Reef
Directly opposite the shallow, but superb reef at Viking Bay lie the three pyramids of Artificial Reef in slightly deeper water, constructed in 2006 from 100 concrete blocks provided by the Department for Marine and Coastal Resources.

Home to many thriving hard and soft corals, anemones, gorgonian sea fans and thousands of reef fish, the 3 man-made pyramids range in depth from 7m to 17m sitting in an area of Koh Phi Phi Leh which is almost untouched by currents, even during new and full moon periods.

With dozens of new staghorn and branching corals taking root, schools of snapper, moorish idols, bannerfish, porcupine fish, wrasse, damsel fish, scorpion fish, goat fish and many more species now seek shelter in among the huge concrete blocks, this artificial reef project is a fantastic success.
