Covid 19 Vaccination Certificate

For quarantine-free travel to Koh Lanta, you will need to present a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 with a vaccine approved by the Thai Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) or the World Health Organisation (WHO) no less than 14 days before your travel date.

  • Everyone 18 years of age and older must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with an approved vaccine at least 14 days before travelling to Thailand.
  • Travellers 5-17 years of age travelling to Thailand unaccompanied must get vaccinated with at least 1 dose of an approved vaccine at least 14 days before travelling to Thailand. Those travelling with parents are exempt from this requirement.
  • Travellers with a history of COVID-19 infection who have received at least 1 dose of an approved vaccine post-infection must have a medical certificate of COVID-19 recovery.

SHA+ Hotel

The Tourist Authority of Thailand (TAT) issues an SHA+ (Safety and Health Administration) certification to confirm that hotels, resorts, venues and businesses have public health measures in place against COVID-19.

SHA+ hotels will help to manage the RT-PCR Covid test procedure required during the 5 night stay.

When you book your SHA+ hotel, the hotel will issue a SHABA certificate (SHA Plus Booking Authentication System) certificate which is required for the Thailand Pass.

Dive & Relax is located at Lanta Castaway Beach Resort on Koh Lanta, which is already SHA+ certified.

Covid 19 Medical Insurance

Entry to Thailand under the Test & Go scheme requires travelers to have medical insurance covering Covid 19 with a minimum cover of $10,000 US.

The policy must be in English, and can be purchased from a number of Thai insurance companies, including:

Please check with your local Thai consulate that your travel insurance policy meets the Thailand Pass requirements.

What if I test positive for Covid-19 on Lanta?

In the case that you test positive for COVID-19:

  • Mild or asymptomatic cases can isolate at their bungalow/hotel room, meaning that you can continue to stay at your resort even if you test positive.
  • For more serious cases, you will be referred to specified healthcare facilities for medical treatment, with the expenses being covered by the required US$10,000 medical insurance.

Koh Lanta Vaccinations

All Dive & Relax staff are now fully vaccinated and have received a third booster shot with a combination of Sinovac, AstraZeneca, and Pfizer vaccines. We are expecting a fourth booster shot later this year.
